Position Summary: Responsible for designing, performing, and documenting data analysis in support of clinical improvement. Provides tactical support to the organization by analyzing and interpreting data to suggest creative solutions. Uses technical tools to query, manipulate, and summarize data from various data sources. Generates reports detailing the results of analysis, including narrative, tabular, and graphical depictions of the data, results, and recommendations. Presents findings to business leaders in a language that can be readily understoon by non-analysts. Utilizes data, results and recommendations to develop and deliver presentations Works with other data analysts and the VP, Analytics and Performance Management as required to standardize metrics, resolve data quality issues, and ensure conformity and compliance with all aspects of clinical data analysis.
Bachelor’s Degree required with a major in statistics, mathematics, analytics, public health or related field required; Masters degree preferred. Five (5) years experience in a healthcare setting, (could include intern experience) preferably in a clinical setting. Lean / Six Sigma Certification preferred. Experience with data analysis tools, database management, medical terminology and computer systems technology required. Proven ability in data analytics required. Experience with data support for clinical quality initiatives preferred. Strong written, oral communication, presentation and problem solving skills required. Must be well organized, have good interpersonal skills, good customer service skills and have the ability to lead and be a team player. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
