Director, Pediatric Rheumatology

Akron Children’s Hospital seeks a Division Director of Pediatric Rheumatology.  Akron Children’s Hospital is the largest pediatric healthcare system in Northeast Ohio and was recently named by Modern Healthcare as the fastest growing children’s hospital in the Nation!

The services and subspecialties at Akron Children’s the hospital span the entire scope of medical services available today – from routine and preventative care to emerging technologies in surgery and patient care,  in a collaborative environment.   Join an established practice, including two full-time Pediatric Rheumatologists and a Nurse Practitioner.  In addition, this position offers:

An On-site Infusion Suite

Ultrasound technology within the Rheumatology Outpatient office

Interventional Radiology

Pediatric Dermatology

Research Institute Support

Sedation Services

Dedicated Multispecialty Vasculitis Clinic

Active involvement in medical student and resident education

Resident and hospitalist coverage for inpatients

Academic appointment at Northeast Ohio Medical University is available and commensurate with experience

Requirements:  The incumbent will be board certified in Pediatric Rheumatology or IM-Peds/ Rheumatology, and will have the ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Ohio.  He/she will have demonstrated leadership experience in clinical practice, research and medical education to attain the highest standards of patient care.
