Nursing Informatics Coordinator

  • Position Description:

    Provides informatics support for the nursing department as it relates to specified software utilization. Performs analysis, diagnostics, development, testing and documentation of prescribed programs and systems. Isolates and corrects application errors in a timely manner. Develops and maintains internal and external Nursing Website and SharePoint sites, and works closely with Information Services (IS) to provide required results. Builds and maintains appropriate databases. Makes recommendations to management and IS regarding design issues, upgrades, and security issues.

    Qualifications Required:

    Bachelor degree required.Business, accounting, finance, or a health care major preferred.Minimum of five (5) years experience in a healthcare setting required. Must have proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of software including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook. Crystal Report writing and Visio knowledge preferred. Knowledge and experience of Web page development and maintenance preferred.Prefer knowledge of SharePoint site design, development and maintenance. Must be able to proficiently perform tasks requiring independent judgment with speed and accuracy. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Strong communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and organizational skills required.Able to deal with a variety of situations and personalities with ease and diplomacy, and work cooperatively and in conjunction with internal and external customers.
