·Leads multiple and high profile IT projects with complex objectives and activities.
·Creates or leads the creation of detailed project documentation such as: project plans, charters, SOWs, risk/issue logs, and meeting minutes.
·Plans and scopes all project phases and components ensuring projects are on schedule and within scope.
·Responsible for ensuring the creation, maintenance of project budgets delivering projects at or under budget.
·Proactively addresses issues and risks associated with the project.Assists with or leads management of contract negotiation and compliance.
·Monitors assigned projects and provides summary status reports to management.Frequently leads and presents to committees.
·May lead other PM(s) and will lead other groups of significant size during projects.Works ongoing as a liaison with multiple assigned departments.
·Develops and maintains an excellent working knowledge of Akron Children's Hospital IT and IT interoperability issues and opportunities.
·Utilizes project management tracking software and tools.
·Bachelor degree in Information Services or related field required.
·Minimum seven (7) years experience required. Healthcare experience required.
·Thorough knowledge of project management methodology and tools.
·Project Management Institute (PMI) certification required.
·Experience with Eclipse or other project management software packages required.
·Strong organization, analysis, and problem solving skills required with an emphasis on attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
·Experience managing enterprise-level and/or multiple projects required.
·Experience leading/facilitating major contract negotiations.
·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
