Ohio based Akron Children’s Hospital seeks Pediatric Intensivists to join its physician team. Akron Children’s Hospital is the largest pediatric healthcare system in Northeast Ohio and was named by Modern Healthcare as the fastest growing children’s hospital in the nation!
Akron Children’s Hospital is nationally ranked by US News and World Report in seven pediatric specialties and is an integrated healthcare delivery system that includes:

·An American College of Surgeons certified pediatric trauma center
The successful candidates will join a well-established team of 10 pediatric intensivists who provide services in the Hospital’s, 27 bed, multidisciplinary, PICU. The unit has more than 1600 annual admissions, providing care for all medical, cardiothoracic surgery, and other surgical subspecialty patients. The intensivists also serve as the medical control physician for a large regional transport service.

Requirements include MD or DO degree, board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics and board eligibility/certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and the ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Ohio. Experience with cardiothoracic and ECMO patients is desired.
