Ohio based, Akron Children’s Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician to join its physician staff. The need exists in the Mahoning Valley Emergency Department located in Akron Children’s Hospital, Beeghly campus. The Beeghly campus sits midway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh and is an easy commute from both locations.
Akron Children's Beeghly Hospital includes a 25-bed pediatric inpatient unit, covered by 24/7 hospitalist services; ER services; surgical, radiology, endocrinology, laboratory, rehabilitative (physical, occupational and speech), rheumatology, transport, behavioral health and gastroenterology services; an 18-bed special care nursery; and an EEG lab.
The successful candidate will join a well-established team of physicians who manage over 28,000 ER visits annually in the Hospital’s 10 bed emergency room. The ER also includes 6 Fast Track/Minor emergency beds and 2 observation rooms.Critical patients are easily transported through Akron Children’s Pediatric Transport Team. Akron Children’s Hospital is the only pediatric hospital in northeast Ohio that has its own helicopter.
